Honored to Join The Groundlings Sunday Company

Hollywood, CA. These last few months have been a whirlwind, but I’m overjoyed to be joining the Sunday Company at The Groundlings! After seven years of classes, it feels surreal to have found a place for my quirky sense of humor to thrive. This is a big deal for me and my career, so I’m thrilled!

I was invited to join after a performance with 12 fellow students in the Advanced Writing Lab.

So many people have shaped this journey. Caring hands have taught, pushed, and supported me along the way. I wouldn’t be here without you. I’m excited for all the Sundays to come! The Groundlings Sunday Company performs new sketch comedy every Sunday at 7:30pm.

Allyson Phillips and Isabel Klein wrote and performed an original sketch called “Choose.”

Here’s a bit about The Sunday Company: Members write and perform a new sketch comedy show every Sunday night. Each member has completed the Core Track (improv training) and the Lab Track (sketch training) of The Groundlings School and, because of their amazing potential, are invited to join the Sunday Company.

This was a sketch called, “Crispus Attucks”.

Isabel Klein and Kyle Lehner wrote and performed “Riverboat”.

TJ Norton wrote this sketch called, “Up Late”.

Isabel Klein

Isabel Klein is an actress and writer from Portland—keepin’ it weird. She's in the Sunday Company at The Groundlings. Isabel trained at RADA in London. Her solo show, SHOWSTOPPER, sold out at the Gilded Balloon during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She has performed at The Comedy Store and The Hollywood Improv. She holds a BFA from Pepperdine. She has more than a dozen film and video credits, including clinging to life as OD Girl #2 in On Call (Amazon Prime), and she’s also part of an upcoming project with Trey Parker and Matt Stone. An experienced stage actor, she's had lead roles in notable productions. Her commercial credits include Airheads, Dave & Buster’s, Sonic (the drive-thru, not the hedgehog), Ring, and Visa—so odds are you’ve skipped her on YouTube.
