Culver City, CA — Working with Annie Keenan Winerip on her short film, A Little Sad, was a terrific experience. Annie worked on Pitch Perfect 3 (2017), and A Little Sad (2025) is her directorial debut. A Little Sad premiered at the Culver City Film Festival!
A Little Sad was inspired by a portrait Annie had done at an art fair. Annie writes, “We were lucky enough to use her genius art in the film; performances by Isabel Klein and Rafael Cebrián were extremely worth the portrait!”

This is an instagram post about the short film:
Below are links to the Instagram handles for the cast and crew.

Annie thanked the cast and crew: Cinematography by the big mix, @bs_anderson, and producing by @faith.choi and Katie Kim. Music by genius shade thrower @zuli_jr, and other judgmental looks by @ohmostwonderful, @coolhandbewk, @meeeeeercat, and @paulbjorkmallcop 👀
And the biggest thanks to @inguerreiro, @ethansimon93, and @dancitron, who literally moved out of LA because they were so traumatized by us taking over their backyard to make an art market—beautifully production designed by my boys in the boat, Kaleb Hawkins and @williamscottdesign 🎨
Thanks to all my market-goers and crew who lent their talents! You don’t make me sad at all 🥹 Come celebrate with us!
