Featured on Podcast “Peers and Beers”

Earlier this month, I was featured on the podcast “Peers and Beers.” Below is a link:

From their website: “On our episode with actor Isabel Klein, we hit a bunch of wacky topics: the quirkiness of Portland and her experience with improv character work at The Groundlings. But it’s not all joking around. We cherish creating an environment where people can be vulnerable, speaking about both their triumphs and struggles.
On that same episode Isabel spoke about the difficulty of the artistic path:
“I have an older sister who has more of a 9-5 job. She’s creative and incredibly intelligent. She has a really stable job, and a stable life, and a stable income. And it’s hard because I’m someone who craves consistency. I love stability. Yet I’ve chosen the profession that may be the opposite of that.”

This podcast is hosted by my friends, Steven Baer and Paul DiRico. They started this podcast in association with their new production company: Rental House Productions. Their company’s goal is “to collaborate with innovators to make sure your vision is executed professionally, ensuring that our final product is consistent with your branding and values.”

Steven described my episode of the podcast on their instagram saying: “On this week’s podcast we drink IBC Root Beer (its still beer for all of you Peers and Beers purists out there, excuse us for caring about our friends, sheesh!) and talk to actress and improv extraordinaire Isabel Klein. Give it a listen to hear us chat about how she gets into the zone for particular roles and to get the inside scoop on the Groundlings, along with a bonus guest appearance by Tilde Danen! Be sure to keep your eye out for Isabel’s readings at theaters across Los Angeles.”

So, check out their website: https://www.rentalhouseproductions.com/ see what’s cooking with Rental House Productions. I would recommend these talented, hard-working and fun guys to anyone!

Isabel Klein

Isabel Klein is an actress and writer from Portland—keepin’ it weird. She's in the Sunday Company at The Groundlings. Isabel trained at RADA in London. Her solo show, SHOWSTOPPER, sold out at the Gilded Balloon during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She has performed at The Comedy Store and The Hollywood Improv. She holds a BFA from Pepperdine. She has more than a dozen film and video credits, including clinging to life as OD Girl #2 in On Call (Amazon Prime), and she’s also part of an upcoming project with Trey Parker and Matt Stone. An experienced stage actor, she's had lead roles in notable productions. Her commercial credits include Airheads, Dave & Buster’s, Sonic (the drive-thru, not the hedgehog), Ring, and Visa—so odds are you’ve skipped her on YouTube.
